InterZet Customers to Get Outpost Antivirus Free

Proactive antivirus protection now available to 4 million ISP customers as monthly subscription

ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, March 30, 2011: The security experts at Agnitum, developers of Outpost security solutions, are pleased to announce that the Outpost AntiVirus Service is now available to the four million customers, including 200 thousand customers of major St. Petersburg ISP InterZet (www.interzet.ru) as part of their basic subscription.

The Outpost AntiVirus Service offers telecom operators and digital content vendors the opportunity to give their customers the benefit of full-function antivirus protection as part of their monthly subscription, or as part of an extended Internet service plan. In the case of InterZet, the standard "All included" plan includes the antivirus, antispyware, selected web protection and proactive defense elements of Outpost Antivirus Pro.

InterZet’s subscribers may opt to extend their protection for a small additional charge and upgrade to the comprehensive protection of Outpost Security Suite Pro. The suite adds a personal firewall, ad blocking, antispam, and other protective tools, including the ability to lock personal data and secure sensitive information stored by Internet-enabled applications. Users can choose between the standard antivirus, supplemented with high-speed data check technology and heuristics, and the Internet security suite, which provides proactive protection against the full range of web threats using both reactive (signature-based) and proactive (blocking) measures.

The Outpost AV Service benefits both ISPs and their customers by delivering protection that seamlessly installs and updates users’ security for as long as they want. Unlike many security solutions, Agnitum’s AV Service does not require that users re-install the software or insert a new license key a subscription expires — all the user has to do to maintain continuous antivirus protection is simply to pay their Internet service fee every month.
