Agnitum joins Top10 list of companies achieving VB100 certification from Virus Bulletin six times in a row
Outpost Security Suite Pro 7.1 praised for effective virus protection under Windows XP SP3.
ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, April 19, 2011: The Internet security experts at Agnitum are delighted to announce the results of the latest antivirus tests carried out by the Virus Bulletin testing labs on Outpost Security Suite Pro 7.1, www.outpost.pro (results are applied also to Agnitum’s free Internet Security Suite 7.1.1 and standalone Outpost Antivirus Pro 7.1).
According to Virus Bulletin, "Agnitum kicks off this month’s comparative in its usual solid style. <...> Scanning speeds and on-access lags were decent to start with, both speeding up hugely in the warm sets, and while RAM and CPU consumption were perhaps a little above average, impact on our new sets of standard activities was minimal."
In total, 69 personal anti-virus and security suite products were tested under Windows Service Pack 3. By achieving the award for both its reactive and proactive protection, Outpost Security Suite Pro commits to virus-free zones under all widely-used Windows platforms — all of the last six entries having resulted in passes.
Outpost Security Suite also has shown impressive results in Reactive And Proactive malware detection testing — 88.8% in this testing. That means that in 4 weeks after the last malware databases update almost 9 of 10 slightly changed samples will be detected by Outpost 7.1.
As for the recent VB100 award, the magazine’s test summary is available at http://www.virusbtn.com/vb100/archive/results?display=summary. Only 10 out of totally 85 participated products were successfully certified 6 times in a row, Outpost being one of the lucky ten.
