Outpost Firewall requires ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) for it to work.

If you are using Windows 95/98/Me:

Download and install MDAC 2.5 Service Pack 3. Please note that you need to download MDAC version 2.5, not 2.7 or 2.6, because 2.6 and later versions don't have the MS Access desktop driver. (Please see "INFO: MDAC Version 2.6 and Later Do Not Contain Jet or Desktop ODBC Drivers").

If you are using Windows 2000/XP:

1. Verify that you have a proper version of the ODBC drivers by doing the following: Open My Computer > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > ODBC Sources > About tab and you will see the following window:

If the ODBC version is earlier than 3.0 please install the latest MDAC from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6c050fe3-c795-4b7d-b037-185d0506396c&DisplayLang=en or http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results.aspx?productID=&freetext=mdac&DisplayLang=en.

If this does not help:

2. Verify that you have Microsoft Access Driver: Open My Computer > Control Panel > > Administrative Tools > ODBC Sources > Driver tab and you will see the following window:

If you don't have the Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb) you need to install MS Jet from the Microsoft site: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;239114
