For the pages of some sites to display or function correctly, those sites require that all or several of their
active content elements must be allowed to run. If you make the settings for all sites very restrictive, you might
experience the following problems: images on some sites are not displayed, some web pages are not shown at all or
are displayed incorrectly, and some useful services contained in web page applets do not function. If you experience
any of the above and would like to resolve them, the following settings are recommended.
If any of the above happens with only few sites, for Outpost Firewall Pro (all versions up to and including
4.0) and
Outpost Security Suite Pro 2007, add those few sites to the exclusions lists of the Active Content
and Ads plug-ins using the following steps.
For the Active Content plug-in:
- Right-click the Active Content plug-in in the left panel of the product's
main window and select Properties on the shortcut menu.
- Select the Exclusions tab and click Add.
- Specify the site address, for example, www.agnitum.com, and click OK:

- Specify the settings for that site and click OK:

For the Ads plug-in:
- Right-click the Ads plug-in in the left panel of the product's main window
and select Properties on the shortcut menu.
- Select the Miscellaneous tab and under Trusted sites click Edit list:

- Specify the site address and click Add to add the site to the list and then click OK twice to save these settings:

For Outpost Firewall Pro 2008 and Outpost Security Suite 2008 add those sites to the exclusions lists of the Web Control
component:
- Click Settings on the toolbar of the main window and select the Web Control page.
- Click the buttons Exclusions > Add.
- Type in the site name and select the option Create custom settings for this site:

- Click Add.
- Specify the settings for the site and click OK:
