Optimizing Outpost work with TrendMicro products

After accomplishing the Compatibility Wizard recommendations (for Outpost 2008 and newer), please, proceed with the additional steps to ensure the compatibility with this vendor's software:

TrendMicro Internet Security / Internet Security Pro:

If you experience blocking TrendMicro update, we recommend to disable content filtering for the responsible application in Outpost like this:

  1. Open Outpost "Settings > Application rules" menu
  2. Double-click on TMPROXY.EXE and select "Options" tab
  3. Select "Disable filtering under content filtering section.
  4. Click OK

In order to decrease system slowdown, you need to add Outpost to TrendMicro antivirus exclusions using the following instruction:

  1. Right-click on TrendMicro icon in the system tray and select "Open Main Console"
  2. Click "Virus & Spyware Controls > Settings > Advanced Settings".
  3. Under "Ignore specific files and folders" click "Select > Add folder".
  4. Add Outpost folder (by default C:\Program Files\Agnitum\Outpost) and click OK.
  5. Close TrendMicro settings window by clicking OK.
