Within a subsription term of an Outpost product all existing registered users of that Outpost product are entitled to receive upgrades, including the latest version of that Outpost product free of charge as part of their maintenance subscription program. In other words, all users with active license and registration key may update for free.

Unregistered users are entitled to receive all upgrades, including the latest versions of installed Outpost products within the trial period (30 days from the installation date).

Note: By default product's automatic update takes place hourly and includes updating some scripts and signatures. If you want to update your product version, please, download and install a new product's distributive from the corporate site.

To update your copy of Outpost, simply follow the instructions below.

Automatic Upgrade through Agnitum Update

For Outpost Firewall Pro (versions up to and including 4.0) and Outpost Security Suite Pro 2007:

1. Open the product main window.
2. Click Tools on the toolbar and select Agnitum Update.
3. Follow the steps that are displayed to complete the upgrade.

For Outpost Firewall Pro 2008 and Outpost Security Suite Pro 2008:

1. Open the product main window.
2. Click Update on the toolbar.
3. The automatic update wizard will perform all the necessary activities without demanding your interaction. Click Finish when the update is ready to be finalized.

If for some reason you cannot upgrade using Agnitum Update, please complete these steps for the manual upgrade:

1. Download the product setup package of the product installed on your computer:
   for Outpost Firewall Pro at http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpost/download.php or
   for Outpost Security Suite Pro at http://www.agnitum.com/products/security-suite/download.php.
2. Save any open files that you have been working on and exit all other applications.
3. Disable Ouptpost's Self-Protection and exit Outpost.
4. Run OutpostProInstall.exe to automatically upgrade your copy of Outpost.
5. Follow the Installation Wizard's instructions.

You can install a newer version of Outpost without having to uninstall a previous version. During the installation you'll be able to save your current Outpost configuration. Your registration information will be stored during the reinstall.
